Are you prepared for an attack on your network?

Detect and fix Active Directory vulnerabilities like a pro!

Equifax, Target, Yahoo, Home Depot, and JP Morgan Chase all have one thing in common – they’ve all suffered debilitating data breaches in the past few years. Affecting billions of people and costing hundreds of millions of dollars in damages, these breaches are just the tip of the iceberg. Verizon’s 2018 annual Data Breach Investigations report lists tens of thousands of documented breaches and incidents over the past year alone and those breaches are not targeting only billion dollar businesses. In fact, Verizon states, “most attacks are opportunistic and target not the wealthy or famous, but the unprepared.” So, are you prepared for an attack on your Active Directory network?

RMR Features

RMR (pronounced “armor”) is a desktop application that protects your network from breaches like these by identifying dangerous security holes that have been used to attack other Active Directory networks, including: non-administrators that can grant themselves admin rights, computer mis-configurations, and users with blank passwords. Allow RMR to analyze your domain to locate these issues, then after the scan completes, review your results and fix the issues detected with a single click. With a tool this simple, there’s no excuse to leave your network vulnerable.

RMR for Active Directory Features:

  • Service-based Active Directory scanning engine.
  • Rule database anchored by the U.S. D.O.D.s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and supplemented with industry best practices.
  • One-click automated fixes for 80% of all detected problems and detailed manual instructions for fixing all detected problems.
  • Automatically email scheduled scan results directly to your in-box.
  • Quarantine option for questionable accounts to immediately eliminate security risks without permanently removing accounts.
  • A historical scan repository to track the changes to your security stance over time.

Secure your Network in 3 Easy Steps

1) Scan Active Directory

Don't be satisfied with vulnerability scanning tools that only look at the version number of the software you have installed. RMR protects your network against dozens of threats, quickly identifying real security flaws that have been used to attack real networks just like yours. Built on security guidelines from the United States Department of Defense and recommendations from industry leaders, RMR detects issues with the network itself, as well as issues with individual Active Directory users, security groups, computers, and organizational units.

Just a sample of the many vulnerabilities detected by RMR:

  • SID Filter Quarantining
  • Smart Card NT Hash Age
  • Anonymous AD Access
  • SID History Admin
  • Non-admins with AdminSDHolder Rights
  • Dangerous Lockout Policy
  • Insecure Password Policy
  • Users with Blank Passwords
  • Non-admins with GPO Rights

2) Fix Detected Issues

After your scan finishes, you'll get a clear report showing the vulnerabilities detected, each with a severity score so you know exactly which items you should tackle first. Select issues from the list, and click the Fix button to automatically perform the recommended fix action for each one. Eighty percent of the issues detected by RMR can be fixed automatically like this with a single click. For the others, detailed step-by-step manual instructions are provided so that you'll know exactly how to address the problem yourself.

Of course, if the recommended fix isn't right for your environment, RMR provides the ability to perform other actions on issues detected. Maybe you want to delete a sketchy user account immediately, instead of simply quarantining the object for review at a later time? Select the objects you want to modify from the list of issue, then click the Actions button to get a list of other actions you can perform.

3) Continue Monitoring your Active Directory Security

When you've handled all of the issues your first RMR scan revealed, remember that your efforts to secure your network are just beginning. Security isn't a "set it and forget it" situation. Luckily, RMR has a lot of features that make keeping up with your network security as painless as possible. Set up scheduled scans, so you'll always detect new issues as soon as they appear in your network. By default, RMR runs a scheduled scan every day at noon. The results from these scans are sent directly to your inbox, so you'll always be aware of any new security flaws popping up.
